Jeez. Today is some kind of a day. When installing a new server a colleague of mine and I lost two disk to sudden disk dead. One brand new not a week old – SMART failure. And one a year old which presents us with transfer rates of 100KB/s as a peak. Due to that we lost a RAID5. Luckily we were testing the system before putting it in production so nothing serious happend…
