Morgen ist es soweit: Microsoft gibt sein neues Betriebssystem Windows Vista zum Verkauf frei. Das Betriebssystem, was lange auf sich hat warten lassen und auch nicht überall gleichermaßen beliebt ist (man siehe Vista: Nicht nur ich habe meine Vorbehalten) wird nun also auch für den Privatanwender verfügbar sein. Im Vorfelde finden heute schon einige von Microsoft organisierte Release Parties statt, um das neue Betriebssystem vorzustellen. Aldi Süd hat bereits ein Notebook angekündigt, welches mit Windows Vista ausgeliefert werden soll.
Wie die Akzeptanz unter den Privatanwendern ausfällt darf abzuwarten sein, viele Softwarehersteller haben sich im Vorfeld allerdings schon über Windows Vista und die Microsoft’sche Produktpolicy beschwert. Dies gilt insbesondere für Hersteller von Anti-Viren Software, die Microsoft vorwerfen zu mauern, damit die eigene Anti-Viren Lösung Vorsprung hat. So hatte es Microsoft vor Jahren mit der Integration des Internet Explorer in sein Betriebssystem geschafft Netscape fast vom Markt zu tilgen.

Tomorrow is THE day: The new version of the operating system Windows Vista will released tomorrow. The operating system which took a enormous developing time is not the friend of everyone (see Vista: Nicht nur ich habe meine Vorbehalten) is now for the public available. Today Microsoft organized serveral so called “Release Parties” to announce their new product. The german dicounter Aldi Süd already announced a Windows Vista based notebook which will available from febrary 1st. The acceptance of Windows Vista on customer side remains to be seen but many software companies allready complained about the policy of Microsoft. In special Anti-Virus vendors are complaining about the productpolcy. Microsoft would make it hard to implement Anti-Virus solutions on Windows Vista to give their own sofware better chances. With these tactics Microsoft was able to push Netscape almost out the market by integrating Internet Explorer in a Windows version.
